Can There Be a Benevolent ‘Cult’?

Not really. We face challenges for which there are in many ways no helpful precedents. Cooperation is likely a requirement of survival, at least on the civilization scale. A country or continent or hemisphere that tears itself apart at the first sign of problems, of a call to sacrifice some comfort for the greater good
