A Tale of Two Spy-Infected Cities
Ah, yes. Minneapolis and St. Paul in Minnesota. The stuff I saw there a decade ago. Below are a few examples. First, some general background about the places and operations related to what is now in the news. There are cities where there are concentrated populations of particular foreign nationals. In Minneapolis, it is Somalian. In Phoenix, many of the non-national chain/ "mom 'n' pop" pizza restaurants are owned by Armenians. There was a time when, maybe still is, where locations in Tennessee have high concentrations of Saudi residents. Obviously, because some of these folks keep in contact with other folks back in their countries of birth, these neighborhoods and communities make for attractive locations for surveillance.
